2 Awesome Things You Must Do In Barcelona

If you’ve read my previous post, you already know a lot about the brilliant time I had in Barcelona last month. We met great friends and enjoyed a wonderful city. What I didn’t tell you is, we also ate great food and took an amazing 3h electric-bike tour we’ll never forget!

Here is the secret sauce of Barcelona, enjoy!

Have A Tapas Lunch at La Taperia in El Nacional

When our local friend Icart offered to take us for lunch in Barcelona, little did we know that we’d experience an authentic food auction—the one you’d see at the fish market early in the morning. This time, however, food is cooked and smells delicious! Rise your hand when paella comes around—the authentic one!

La Taperia is located in El Nacional, a super centric location in Paseo de Gracia. Whether its dinner, lunch time or none of these, it’s never a bad time for a tapa!

Apart from the superb food, the staff is very friendly and will always serve you with a smile. El Nacional looks awesome and it’s just a great place to chill after shopping or sightseeing.

Take The Barcelona Photo Bike Tour by Electric Bike

A sunny Sunday gave way to our incredible 3 hours electric bike tour in Barcelona. We don’t do much previous research when we travel but for this occasion, we wanted to make sure we didn’t miss any of the jewels of Barcelona. I have to tell you I’m super happy we picked this option. We had the greatest time with our guide. He is a great photographer so he knows the best spots for awesome pictures.

Believe me, it’s great to see Barcelona from the comfort of your electric bike. We started off by the beach. We met some local fishermen and had great views of the shore. Then we headed towards the gothic quarters—the old town.

Our guide told us a lot of interesting anecdotes but also wanted to get to know us. He was just the kind of person who genuinely enjoys his job and meeting new people from around the globe. We really liked him.

After the tour, he took us for a drink and answered a few questions we still had around the city. This was the cherry on top after a great time because you get to talk to a local who can give you advice on what to do next.

If you haven’t tried electric bikes yet, let me tell you it is the invention of the century—super comfy and appropriate for every age and/or level of experience. I promise you will have an awesome time.

After these awesome pictures, you won’t be surprised to know that this activity is the number 1 bike tour in the city of Barcelona.
