Beautiful things for beautiful people-The Lil Flea Market, Bandra

A glistening entrance to The Happiest Festive Market

The Lil Flea market is a periodic event held at 3 cities in India: Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. Here is a glimpse of their 7th Edition in Mumbai (BKC) during the 2nd week of December. This market serves the purpose of entertainment for all and includes vibrant pop-up shops, music, street food and experimental workshops.

A single-day pass to this happy fest is INR250/Head and a bundle pass of 3 days is for INR300/Head

Tip: Be there early at 4-ish to avoid queues and enjoy the sundown chilling by the performance area.

Only an open heart can catch a dream!

Some gorgeous dream catchers fill the space on walls and ensure sweet dreams.

Defining  characters with vibrant pop art.

Pop-art, a movement characterized by the imagery of consumerism and popular culture, emerged in New York and London during the mid-50s and became a dominant avant-garde style until the late 60s. It is characterized by bold, simple, everyday imagery and vibrant block colors. I personally love it for it’s modern ‘hip’ feel.

Recently, the Indian art scene has come up with good creative talents, and are quite influenced by the avant-garde styling.

I bought a Marilyn Monroe poster for my wall. Which one did you pick?

A blossom brings smile!

I love plants, and since it was the Christmas season, I needed some festive vibes for my tiny little adobe. I picked up some plants from this beautiful nursery at the flea market. Lovely part being, they have a delivery option as well. So you can roam around: Hassle free.

Mirror Mirror on the wall!

However big or small the mirror is, you always get excited to peep in it once. There was this tiny powder room set up on turquoise wall with nice rice lights and a mirror on the wall as well with a little washbasin.

All that glitters is not gold!

This stall grabbed all my attention as it had some unique handicraft of brass Indian artifacts. The craftsman himself explained the making of the product: From the sourcing of the material, to the molding and shaping of it. All of it which was quite reminiscent of my 5th grade History class. I wish I had paid attention then. 😀

Past, Present, Future!

Well, Well, Well! I enjoy such situations where you get some motivation and positive vibe for your future. All of us go through ups and downs in life and sometimes we just hold on to something, a feeling, a grudge, a memory. That’s the time we need to move on. So this pretty lady helped me with the same. As I’ve been a wee little bit nervous about my blog, she asked me to fly like a bird and have some confidence. So here I am. I haven’t been much of a believer in horoscopes, but yeah any kind of motivation is accepted!

Sass, n’ Class!

Everywhere there’s a little something which connects you to art, music and fashion.

Sun-shining, Sun-downer!

Finally, buzzing around with tunes of one of my favorite Indie-band Indian Ocean, there was this spot. It had chilled beer, all I can ask for for a Sunday eve.

Time spent well, at the Lil Flea. The Happiest Fest-Market!

‘Behind the lens’

Yes! He is the better half I’ve been talking about all this while in my previous posts. All the pictures have been taken by him-Quite much of a talented charmer. Isn’t he? :*
