My better half and I, stayed two nights at the Anyavee Tubkeak Beach Resort in Krabi, Thailand. We got a wonderful Deluxe Sea View room with a Jacuzzi. I wish we had stayed longer! The hotel is clean and the property lies on a great beach with lots of activities nearby. Not too many steps away.
The hotel is 40 minutes away from Krabi airport. A taxi will cost you around 800bht. It is located on Tubkaek beach which is one of the most beautiful beach in the stretch of North Thale.
The views are amazing. The resort is near the end of the beach, the farthest away from the town. So it ends up being a little far from nightlife. Definitely not walking distance from the town, but you can get cab from the hotel, which is hardly a 10-minute ride for around 300bht. In the town, you can find spa parlours, restaurants and bars. It’s a nice town to visit and it also has a cool Irish bar.
Krabi town is 30/40 minutes away and again around 800bht for a cab from the hotel. Hotel cabs cost more, but the road outside is quite derelict so you might be waiting awhile if you tried to get a normal passing cab. You can rent bikes also.
Ao Nang port is nearby too, around 15-30 minutes.
The Jacuzzi room was really nice, we were very nicely surprised with the facilities. The room has a panoramic view of the Andaman Sea with set of Hong Island around. We enjoyed the sun go down, chilling in the Jacuzzi.
Staff here are really friendly and helpful, I love the way they smile all the time. Which is one of the reason I’m in love with Thailand (the land of smiles). WiFi in public areas is not as good as in the rooms, but there was good connectivity at the pool.
The resort has two pools. One of the swimming pools had direct access from the room, which is very cool and the main pool is located some steps down from the main hotel building, right at the beach front, which is the infinity pool. The best part about the lower pool was the view and the fact that it had access to the sea. There is a bar and restaurant right next to this, where they have sun-downer happy hours.
You can rent a Kayak for 200bht per hour, I recommend you must try.
The beach does have a lot of crabs when the sea goes out but this is the same all along Thailand so don’t let that put you off.
The breakfast buffet is alright with a wide selection of Thai food and live stations for fried-eggs, omelettes, pancakes and lot more, which is served on the upper deck restaurant.
The view from the buffet hall is breath taking!!!
Maybe the best view you could have while enjoying your breakfast!
